Maxine Morrey - Studio

I am a freelance writer with articles published in a variety of magazines including 'Airports of the World', 'Best of British', and the craft magazine 'Sew Hip'.

I have a great enjoyment of research and find myself interested in a great number of subejcts. Following some of these interests I have obtained diplomas in Interior Design, Garden Design and Health and Beauty. My long standing passion for photography, inherited from my father, has led me to attain several local awards and prizes.

History is also something I find fascinating, in all aspects from grand and stately houses to the development of the aviation and motor racing industry, the latter being an area I have been introduced to via my husband's passion for the subjects.

One of my biggest loves is craft and sewing. My seamstress Nan taught me to sew when I was about eight and that, along with its fashion connections, is something I never tire of reading about, studying or sharing.

I believe that becoming involved with Suite101 would give me the opportunity, and impetus, to write more frequently, thereby allowing me to be continually honing my writing skills. The chance to become part of the site's community and learn from other writers, aswell as being given the chance to share information on subjects I feel strongly about would be a great and exciting prospect.
